Why I’m Bringing Back Sipping Stardust

A while ago, I had a blog called Sipping Stardust. It was full of poetry snippets and vague reflections. I don't remember exactly what I thought it would become, but I remember the feeling of having a little corner of the internet that was mine.

Lately, I've been craving that again — not a brand, not a content strategy, not another place to perform. A place to notice things. To reflect. To embrace the internet of old and to keep things simple.

As a software engineer, I find myself spending a lot of my time thinking. Maybe it's about data structures, system design, or some other abstract, technology-driven solution. Maybe it's wondering if I'll have a job anymore after AI takes over the world.

You know. The usual stuff.

But as seasons have changed, I've found myself craving more of the simplicity that shaped who I am today. Playing in the dirt (in the very grown-up form called landscaping) or watching the sun set and the stars slowly speckle into the sky. I've had this shift to embrace what is real. The simplicity that cuts through the noise. The foundations that matter most.

The truth is, I can't predict what will happen in 5 years. But I can choose to be present, today. I can choose to be intentional. And so that's what Sipping Stardust represents. A small sip of wonder, in a little cup on the internet.

I'm happy you're here.
