Intense, longing
A force like a full moon
Tugging at the starlit tides
Of my soul
Shadows slither closer
To give a protective embrace
Comforting
Stifling
The black riptide pulls and
I’m swept under
I don’t know what is
Down
or
Up
I reach for the shore
But am cast out
To be pulled back in
The waves permeate my entity
And shadows pool in my throat
I feel the gaze from afar
Grin
